We still had the sharepoint guest account enabled for some reason.

For some other reason, Sharepoint would think the form being submitted should be done using the Guest account, even though it couldn't, and even though we have a proper Sharepoint group for submitting a form ("InfopathSubmitters" comprised of NT_AUTHORITY\Authenticated Users). This only happened with Infopath 2007.

Don't quote me on this of course, I'm not a sharepoint guy, and this was the info I was able to glean from our SP guys.

Thank you to all who looked.

Re: Submit Error With Infopath 2003 forms in Infopath 2007 on Windows 7

Hi, I found something about this error.
Our org is (finally) deploying Windows 7 Business edition with Microsoft Office 2007. We're having troubles with our company-wide Infopath 2003 forms:

The forms work, have worked, will work when submitting from Infopath 2003 on Windows XP.

If we submit the same form from a Windows 7 PC with Infopath 2007, we get the

An error occurred while the form was being submitted.

A value in the form may be used to specify the file name.

error.

The form is submitted to a Sharepoint 2003 library on an intranet server.

The obvious - The filename is in a hidden field and set either with the (mandatory) employee ID on the form, with the now() concatenation, or a concatenation of the domain user ID and the now() function, depending on the form.

Unfortunately, the two other OS/Office suite combinations have not been tested - Windows XP with Infopath 2007 and Windows 7 with Infopath 2003.

I will get to those testing environments when I can, but I was hoping someone had run into this situation and had a remedy.

Thank you.
