If necessary, our moderators will make sure it gets classified in the correct board.enCommunityServer 2007 SP3 (Build: 31118.962)https://www.infopathdev.com:443/forums/thread/57529.aspxMon, 02 Aug 2010 13:40:01 GMT033a2e2d-04e2-4a9d-be01-a4634161eefd:57529CLawrie0https://www.infopathdev.com:443/forums/thread/57529.aspxhttps://www.infopathdev.com:443/forums/commentrss.aspx?SectionID=41&PostID=57529<p>Hi, I developed a 2003 compatible Infopath form using Visual Studio 2008 on a Windows 7 PC with Office 2007.&nbsp; </p> <p>I created an msi for it and tested installation on an XP SP3 with Office 2003 SP3 and it installed fine as &quot;Everyone&quot;.&nbsp; However, I now have reports from my users that they cannot get it to install as &quot;Everyone&quot; giving the following error:</p> <p><span style="FONT-FAMILY:&#39;Calibri&#39;,&#39;sans-serif&#39;;FONT-SIZE:11pt;mso-ascii-theme-font:minor-latin;mso-fareast-font-family:Calibri;mso-fareast-theme-font:minor-latin;mso-hansi-theme-font:minor-latin;mso-bidi-font-family:&#39;Times New Roman&#39;;mso-bidi-theme-font:minor-bidi;mso-ansi-language:EN-GB;mso-fareast-language:EN-US;mso-bidi-language:AR-SA;">Cannot create Infopath.ExternalApplication</span></p> <p>Installing as &quot;Just me&quot; seems to work OK but is not ideal.&nbsp;</p> <p>Their PCs were created from a different image and I can replicate the error from that image.&nbsp;</p> <p>Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this problem.&nbsp; I have tried installing as administrator but get the same error.&nbsp; </p> <p>This is the first Infopath msi I have created using Visual Studion 2008.&nbsp; We don&#39;t have this issue with forms created using Visual Studio 2005, although these were also created on an XP and Office 2003 SP2 PC.</p> <p>Thanks </p> <p>C&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
