I've attached a sample (not a terribly refined sample, but it will give you the general idea). Right click the link in this post's header, and save the XSN locally, then right click and select Design to open in design mode. You can preview and add items to the bulleted list, leaving some blank... This is probably a simplification of what you need, but hopefully will help you find a way to do what you need w/out having to write code.

Re: Repeating Table summaries - Can I only show entries not blanks?

I don't know if you could do this without code, but it shouldn't be too difficult to do it with code.

Loop through your repeating table, and delete every row that doesn't contain any data.

If you want a code sample for this, don't hesitate to ask me.

Hope that helps

Repeating Table summaries - Can I only show entries not blanks?

Hi all, my title is probably a little confusing but I will explain and hopefully someone can help me.

I have an InfoPath form which has some repeating bullet lists on it, into which my users will add a weekly update, or not as may be the case as some weeks there is no update.

On another view I have these updates summarised so the current weeks update is at the top and the previous weeks update(s) are below going back to the earliest at the bottom, now it is probably the way that I have the data in the view but what I end up with is a row of bullet points but not always any data (as there isn't any) example below:

Installed 5 servers.

Installed 3 PCs.

Completed Laptop deployment.

Ordered 3 PCs

Now the first entry is the current week the next two blanks are from the previous week and the week before, then the 4th entry is from the 4th week and then the 5th and 6th weeks follow, the sixth week has two updates and any given week can have any number of updates, but when no update is made there is only one blank entry shown.

My question is this, is there a way to hide the empty rows so that only the rows with text are show one after the other so that what is shown above becomes:

Installed 5 servers.

Installed 3 PCs.

Completed Laptop deployment.

Ordered 3 PCs

Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks
