Yes, this is pretty easy to do in InfoPath using the Email Data Connection. The email name is set using a field's value. The field can be bound to a People Picker or you can just have people type in the full email address. You can do the same thing when you send the form. Capture who it is from using Active Directory lookup or just concatenate the "username" function with a domain (if you only have one domain). Then, it's easy to have it return to them the next time. Just use the new field on the return send if the form isn't new (which you can check on open using Default and Initiator user roles.

Send me email if you need more help,

PS> Here's a link to a blog post showing how to get Active Directory info including email info: http://www.infopathdev.com/blogs/mel_balsamo/archive/2010/02/04/qdabra-s-aduserinfo-xtp.aspx (this relies on Active Directory Web Service)

retrieve email from form via outlook

hello,

I have a form deployed in a shared folder of our internal workgroup. users must fill in and automatacaly comes per email.

I would like to retieve with a quiz form for that email but there is no field in the form where users write their email address. is there a way to answer back with another form using the "from" address of that email?

one way could be when the user submits the form and outlook prepares the email the form assing the sender address to a field and later I could use it reply.

is this possible?
