That is a very big form, with 150 views and 3.5 MB I am not surprised it is taking some time to open, even without a lot of on load data connections - the fact is that the form is probably rending a lot of stuff which is what is taking time.

You might want to look at adding "expand/collapse" sections to show/hide data and by default have the section set to "collapse" so that the user presses a button or ticks a check box to expand and then render the data in that section

Hi, I have a InfoPath 2003 form with about 150+ views in it, it takes around 2-3 minutes a minimum to load the form entirely and display the default view. This number is from a machine with 2GB RAM and Intel core 2 PC. More details...

Some of the controls have binding with Access database; however the data is not loaded into the controls when the form is loaded.
Few Views are associated with web services for receiving data on demand.
Above all, we have few user controls developed using custom .NET to substitute the missing controls(grid, toolbar, etc) in InfoPath2003.
Size of the InfoPath Form is around 3.5MB.

Now the questions and possibilities

Is there a way that I can progressively load views on runtime based on the the need(i.e., load views when I exclusively call them, instead of preload).
What amount of tuning and adjustments I can do so that the load time is reduced.

Appreciate your expert views and ideas to improve the form load time. Thanks
