The hard part is getting it to break on the end of a word instead of wherever the middle of the character string is, but I'll let you figure that out :)

Left column:
substring(my:field1, 0, string-length(my:field1) div 2)

Right column:
substring(my:field1, string-length(my:field1) div 2, string-length(my:field1))

Re: Avoiding page breaks in middle of section or table

Hello Shaul,
About your 1st question, you can try this tutorial.
<br /http://infopathdev.com/howto/tutorials/default.aspx?i=80c11a66b08a4572bc2b17f391319a0f
About your 2nd question, I could not understand what you were trying to say. Is there a way to prevent a section or table from breaking on a page break when printing a form, similar to the paragraph property "keep lines together" in Word. I.e. I would like the section or table to be printed on the next page with white space on the end of the current page. Note this should happen IF NECESSARY (i.e. to avoid a split), so inserting a page break before would not achieve the same effect.

2. Can I have a 2 column mode, so a table would start on the left column and continue on (spill into) the right column?

Thanks,

-- Shaul (shauld@medcon.com)
