Have to say that I'm not really a coder so it might be something really stupid...

Anyway I put the code that you supplied into the function that is called by the onClick button event. I replaced BLOCKNAME with the section that shall be signed and I get error: Expected ';'

SignedDataBlock oSignatureBlock = thisXDocument.SignedDataBlocks["BLOCKNAME"];
oSignatureBlock.Sign();

I put a ";" after SignedDataBlock and can now open the form. Clicking the button gives me error 'SignedDataBlock' is undefined.

Would be great if you have an idea what I did wrong!

Thanks!
Tobi

Re: Open Digital Signatures Wizard

Hi Tobias,
Here is how you can select the block and sign the same.
SignedDataBlock	oSignatureBlock = thisXDocument.SignedDataBlocks["BLOCKNAME"];
oSignatureBlock.Sign();

Reply back if you see any issues here.
Re: Open Digital Signatures Wizard

Thanks Greg. Works perfectly and the wizard lets user select the section that they want to sign (eg. initiator / approver) >> Acceptable workaround.

Does anybody know if the section can be predefined in the code when calling the wizard?

Re: Open Digital Signatures Wizard

Hi Tobias,

Welcome to the InfoPath Dev Forums!

You can use a button with code behind it that calls:

XDocument.UI.ShowSignatureDialog();

But this doesn't specify a particular section.

Open Digital Signatures Wizard

Does anybody know if it is possible to open the digital signatures wizard to sign a specific section by using a control other than the default "click here to sign this section" displayed under the section?
