This is amazing. I can't believe I never saw this before. Shanthi told me that you can enable paragraph breaks to get the functionality you want. Looks like another option is rich text.

Re: How to forbid space trimming in text data?

I have SQL 2000 table with varchar data column. Text data in this column may contain more than one seriated spaces. This table is used as data connection in Infopath and a repeating table is used to display data. Nothing unusual. Then, when the form is previewed, the data looks like "normalize-space" function was applied. I suppose it must be an option to turn this feature off, but I haven't found anything.
Furthermore, you should not try data connection to check it. Now I just created new blank form, add a text box and typed such kind of text. The result is the same.
I use Infopath with SP2.
Re: How to forbid space trimming in text data?

Hi Sash,
No kidding? This doesn't make any sense to me - it should absolutely not remove spaces since that is a data loss issue. Can you give us solid repro steps?

How to forbid space trimming in text data?

Infopath removes white spaces from text data by default. For example, string "www <many spaces> ggg" is converted to "www ggg" in a text box. Is it possible to forbid to trim spaces?
