Since this was posted, I think I've gotten around the issue, although I'd still like to know what needs to be done for deployment permissions. (I used one of the built in webservices... UpdateListItems.. and everything is working fine.) I can only conclude it must have something to do with how I setup up the authentication in my webservice, built from scratch.

Dave

Re: Deploying an Infopath form

Hi Dmhollis,
Is your SQL DB separate from SharePoint or are you using SharePoint's SQL backend to add forms to SharePoint?

Deploying an Infopath form

I have deployed an infopath helpdesk form by publishing it to a Sharepoint form library, then creating an .msi install with VS to deploy it locally on users machines. My problem is, when they fill out the form and submit it to the sql database, the sharepoint list it's supposed to be updating, never gets updated.... even though the form submits sucessfully. Is this possibly a database permissions issue? I am the database owner...and it works for me, but no one else. If that's the issue, what are the minimum permissions I must give to allow others to update via my infopath form (submit data connection is a web service).

Thanks!

dmhollis
