Qdabra pays for this free forum. Qdabra provides qRules, a library of common features that can be injected into your form. Using qRules, a Forms Designer does not have to add code. They use rules. One of the popular features that qRules provides is uploading images and file attachments from your form to a SharePoint document library and replacing those images or attachments with a link. Full Trust is not required to do this with SharePoint document libraries. I suggest you try the free trial of qRules. If that works for you, maybe it is an option. qRules is cheap.

Qdabra must sell some products to continue supporting this free forum. That's why we recommend purchasing qRules here. We've done the work so you don't have to. If you think this forum is useful, please consider contributing by purchasing qRules.

Infopath form in Sharepoint saving files in external path

Hi All,

Was trying to do below things but was failing:

1. Created an Infopath form which saves the files to external path using attachment control and provides link to saved file and saves the form in the Sharepoint library

    a) When I do it using Infopath form directly it saves the attached file to the path and Form to Library

    b) But it fails to open the form saved in the library though i have made the form library to use the same content type

2. When i publish the form to library as content type.

   a) It does not saves the attachment or form in the library throws an error message.

I have published the form with Full Trust and gave administrator rights. Need help regarding this if there is another way of doing this please let me know. Waiting for your replies and thank you very much in advance.

Thanks

Shabbir
