You have a very oenophilicly auspicious alias - 1961 is a fine vintage!

Try promoting the field you want to see in the workflow. Go to Tools->Form Options->Promoted Properties and add the fields you want to use. This may fix it but I haven't tried it.

We tend to use in-form workflow for InfoPath. InfoPath has rich rules support so you can usually setup workflow in the form without having to worry too much about SharePoint. SharePoint workflow is cool too, but requires Designer and Code to do really complex stuff and the UI is not "in-situ". InfoPath workflow is in the form so you can control how stuff looks with a high degree of detail. Of course, Microsoft will market ShP workflow because ShP is how they make money and I do expect it is more powerful in 2010 and beyond, but not everyone can afford ShP. :)

Happy flows!

Workflow Designer question

i need to create a workflow condition that checks whether the originator is same as one of the chosen username options in the form and set a value in the form.

problem is when i choose the action... set field in current item... i only see Name, Owner and Title as fields available to choose from, where can i see the whole list of form fields ?

or can i not set a form value in this context?
