If you do not want to use code, you cannot create multiple email data connections one to each To email address. For each button set rules so as to submit to the appropriate email data connection

Hope this helps!

Shanthi
InfoPath Dev India

Submit Buttons

I have a "New Item request Form" that I have created with Infopath, that i am trying to replace an outlook form with. The outlook form allows a sales rep to fill out a reuqest form and submit to his manager via email, when the manager views it, he can approve or deny it the request. depending on his decision, the form will open another form to be filled out and emailed back to the sales (denied) or to the VP of purchasing (approved) for his approval or denial. And then depending on his decision (approved or denied) another form will open and be able to be submitted via email to the BUyer (approved) or denied (back to sales rep).

I have the new item request working in infopath now for the first leg of this form (from sales rep to his manager) but that's as far as i got. I had tried using multiple submit in different sections of the form but when i changed one buttons data connection to a new email address, it changed all buttons in the form.

is there a way to have mulpitple submit buttons within the same form which will send to different email addresses depending on the decision?

if not this is what i would like to do.... add a 2 buttons to the original form (approved or denied) which depending on the decision will open up a totally seperate form. One for approved and another for denied. That way i can have different data connections to different email addresses depending on the decision.

I know i am probably making this more difficult than it should be but i know nothing about programming and have had this project dumped on my by the President of our company.

Can anyone help? please.
