I did verify that it is the opening in design mode that strips the conditional formating. Hopefully I just need SP2 and not all the users.

Thanks for the help

Re: Conditional Formatting rule not saved

Someone else has now come across this issue too. Check out my post about this, specifically review the steps to create the issue. It was suggested that upgrading to SP2 could sovle the problem, although I never tested it out.
<br /http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=750
Conditional Formatting rule not saved

I have some drop-down lists that I apply a conditional formatting rule to that hides the control and when I test it with Preview Form they work as expected. But, when I save the form and re-open it in design mode the conditional formatting rule is gone.

The drop-downs get there data from a SQL query, but I wanted to be able type new values in like a combo box. So I added an attribute called "IsNew" to the field that the drop-down is bound to. I have a button next to the drop-down that sets "IsNew" to TRUE. Then the conditional formatting on the drop-down and the button hides those controls when "IsNew" is true. Then there is a text box bound to the same field that become unhidden when "IsNew" is true.

The conditional formatting rule on the button and text box remains when the form is re-opened but the drop-downs loose their conditional formatting.

Any ideas why?

Thanks,
Rob
