If this doesn't work, you might try some of the technique proposed in the HowTo I wrote a couple months ago:
<br /http://infopathdev.com/howto/tutorials/default.aspx?i=80c11a66b08a4572bc2b17f391319a0f

---------------
Matt Faus
InfoPath Dev Texas
Help -how can printview and fillout looks match

I'm a first-time user and have designed a form field personnel will complete and the output will serve as a report to a customer.

I immediately realized what I see in design stage is not what I see when I print the form on paper. In design, width is limited and the info I put on one line wraps -- but when I print, it fits fine on 1 line. Thought this was just a design issue of not getting a wysiwyg view.
I just moved to the publishing stage and brought up the form to fill in. The view is limited like in the design stage. The lines wrap.

In case I didn't explain this clearly, here's an example. The first 2 lines of the form contain no controls and the print extends beyond the page indicator to the right, yet it prints on paper perfectly centered.
The next area is a bordered table. I could not make the right side of the table extend to the side-page indicator or it would not print on paper (or in the Print Preview).
Lines of just text in that table need to wrap about an inch onto a second line, yet print in 1 line on paper. Lines with controls seem to have their own spacing, but I worked around it and all prints fine on paper.

The problem isn't with the printed form, it's with the input stage. The format our field employees will bring up is not lined up well - it looks like the design layout - with line broken up.
Before I redesign the form to work with the left-to-right screen spacing per the design view, I thought I'd try this forum.

Can anyone give me some direction?

Thanks,
Lois
