The code in your form is modifying the data source and that is why InfoPath is complaining. You need to either restrict the signature to a sub-section in the form, or have the code modify a secondary data source (both are doable). Let us know if you need help. We provide InfoPath consulting and have very inexpensive hourly rates.

Invalid signature - The form changed after it was signed

Hello, I'm a longtime viewer of this board, but this is my first post.

I'm desperate with this invalid signature issue. We have created an InfoPath form that we use with a SharePoint workflow for several months/ almost years now. Everything works wonderful except the signing portion. We keep on getting the "Invalid signature - The form changed after it was signed" error even though the form fields cannot be changed after they are signed. We have some code in the background to handle button clicks, automatic filling of the form creator profile, set the current financial year etc. – 30/40% of the forms come back with the error after they are signed. I mean 60-70% of the forms show no problem.

We are trying everything we can think of to break a signed form, but we cannot get it to break. Is there a log or something that can be turned on to see what has changed in the form?

When it happens it sometimes happens to all (4-5) forms the person signs. Sometimes it requires someone else to open the form, maybe print it and in the next moment the signature is bad.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thank you

Guido
