But my question was more like, can i set up a rule or what ever that entries of let's say userA are black (writing color) and additional entries made from userB (in almost the same view) after receiving have red (writing color).
Hmm while writing that I think I already found the solution with the help of your first post.
Thanks again. Thats what I call fast and good support.

Re: Infopath Views/Restrictions

Hi Nikkumatti and welcome to our forum,
Approval processes are common. You'll want to define User Roles. Go to Tools->User Roles and define a role for Requester, Reviewer, and Responder. Then, you can add conditional formatting to display the view in a different color based on the user role. You can also use the user role to conditionally hide or show a section in the form. Good luck!

Patrick Halstead [InfoPath MVP]
InfoPathDev

Infopath Views/Restrictions

Hi Folks,

just a little question from an infopath newbie. In our company we have something like a Request/Review/Response process. The view the requestor and the receiver have are almost 100% the same. Actually it would be the best to make some restrictions to the receivers view to make sure that he didn't make any changes. However in many cases that wouldn't work cos some additional data must be added from the receiver (perhaps the requestor did not know the information). So I'd like to know if there is a possibility to set different writing colors for different users and if how.
Hope you guys could get me :)
Thx in advance
