You wouldn't have to show it in the view of the SharePoint list. You don't have to add all the columns to the table controls. You can select the columns you don't want and delete them -- just click in the column header and right click and select delete. You can also insert columns using the right click menu insert command, then add a control bound to the field you want to add.

You can also select the repeating table and right click and select Change Binding. Leave the repeating group selected. Select Next and you can add and remove columns.

Repeating Table from SharePoint List, adding a column

Hello,

TIA for any and all help.

I have a repeating table, which is bound to a data connection to a SharePoint list. All is working well. It pulls in all list items and shows each field. What I would be interested in learning is how to add another column in the InfoPath table for users to enter information. Also, if there is a way to hide a column in the InfoPath repeating table, that would be great as well, but is secondary in importance to "adding a column".

For example, let's say that my SharePoint list holds information about inventory. The SharePoint list has three columns - serial number, maxqty and description. I wish for the InfoPath repeating table to show this information (which I have already accomplished), and to also have an additional column for the user to add in new data called QUANTITY. Would anyone help me add this column?

And, the bonus question of the day is... how do I pull in maxqty, but have it be a hidden column so that I can data validate against QUANTITY?

Thanks again for any assistance.
