It includes the call sign and vehicle that our employee drove for a particular shift. This data is not added to the database and is only included on the attached print view. I wanted a simple method where our staff could fill in all the required details and submit to the database and the printed version included some extra details. I am not a programmer and have struggled with Infopath but I have got it to do what I want, but I have hit a hurdle with this binding issue.

thanks for the promp reply

Re: Unbound text Box

Hi BobSka and welcome to our forum!
You will have to write code to submit data from 2DS (secondary data source) to a DB. An alternative is to create main data source nodes for them and copy them. Not sure why you would want to save 2DS data. If it's save-worthy it should be in the main data source, no?

Patrick Halstead [InfoPath MVP]
InfoPathDev

Unbound text Box

I have developed a simple infopath input form to allow users to submit data onto a database. The problem I have is that I want to include some text boxes that are not bound to the database. These text boxes are designed to include some data on the print view only. How do I include text boxes that have no Binding for this purpose?
