I have around 10 fields that can influence the result of the default value, and I have around 40 default values, so using rules would be very time consuming. I am hoping that there is a way to set a flag on the form, and when that flag is set, stop all calcualtions on the form. Do you know if this is possible?

Thanks

The problem with doing that is that if the data feeding the calculated field is updated, then the calculated field is not updated, as we have marked the field containing the default answer as being manually updated.

Any other suggestions?

My requirement is as follows:

Display a default value, that contains a calculated field's value, and allow the user to amend the default value, i.e. The default value of a question is:

"The owner's house is worth [calculated field] and it will be sold to [area where the user can enter their own details], and the money will be [another area where the user can add their own values]"

The problem I have is that while the user can update the default value, and save the form, when they re-open it, the original default value is displayed without the amended text.

I have found that the solution works fine if I turn the default value does not contain any calculated fields, but I need the calculated field to be included.

Can anyone suggest a solution?

Many thanks
