(on the Action list on the right side of the taskpane). Giva whichever name you want (something that makes sense to you).
Now, double click on that view that you just added. It is empty.
Go to your main view and copy the 15 fields that you want to print.
Go to the print view and paste them.

Now, when your users are on your main view and hit print, it will print the content of the print view, not the data entry view.

Does it make sense?

Hope that it helps.

Regards,

Franck Dauché

Re: Generating printable "subform" within infopath

Thanks franck, is there an easy way to switch to that view from the default view? When the person opens the form they need to see everything, but only print those 15 fields, so maybe if there was a button that changes the view?

thanks again

Re: Generating printable "subform" within infopath

Can't you build a separate View in your form that contains these 15 or so fields and print that?

Regards,

Franck Dauché

Generating printable "subform" within infopath

Is it possible to generate a "subform" within an infopath form? Basically what I want to do is this:

I have an infopath form that gets filled by the appropriate users. Once the form is complete it has a ton of info in it, but there are say 15 fields that are very important. Can I have a button or something on that form that when pushed will grab the info out of those 15 .xml fields and pop up a report of that info so it can be printed on a thermal label printer?

Thank you in advance for any help.
