it is possible to use auto-number in a field of a repeating table. Just set the default value of a textfield in a repeating table to the following XPath-Expression:

count(../preceding-sibling::*/my:Fieldname) + 1

and activate the option "... Update this value when the result of the formula is recalculated"

Regards,

Auto-Numbering in InfoPath / PDF Export

Hey folks, I have a question regarding the auto-numbering and PDF export feature of InfoPath 2007.

These features doesn't work on my form - subitems are not numbered correctly. (Only 1. 2. 3. 4. instead of 1. 1.1. - 2. 2.2. etc.) and the PDF quality doesn't look good.

I was going to use the auto-numbering feature (table) on a very large Checklist.

So is it possible in InfoPath to auto-number just like in Office Word 2007?

The PDF form exported from InfoPath is visibly cut off on the sides and even the quality is not acceptable. How do I change that?

Thanks in advance.
