It's weird that this only happens sometimes, but maybe if you delimit your column names it will stop the abnormality.

Column1 -> [Column1]
or
Column1 -> "Column1"

Re: Form Submission problem (Access DB).. I have done alot of infopath learning since then but even so have hit another brick wall!
At the moment I am using two forms, one that clients use to submit requests to my data warehouse team (data extraction requests usually), and another form for the Data analysts in my team to view/update the requests that come in through the client form. All data is stored to an Access Database. With the review.update form, I have had one particular problem that occurs sometimes (sporadically)when I am viewing updateing and then trying to submit changes to a single request. Once I have made the appropriate changes to fields in the form and I go to submit the changes (using the OnsubmitRequest event handler, and a button on the form) and get the following error message (which I caught in a catch statement):

-2147209139 - Infopath cannot submit the form.
An error ocurred while the form was being submitted.
<A picture of a little square here>
A name was started with an invalid character.

These four lines come up in a XDocument.UI.Alert message box, exactly as above (including the little square, which I couldn't past in cause it kept on comeing up with a four digit number and hash in the post). I suspect this is referring to the underlying XML DOM? I managed to get around this issue by deleting and re-creating the request I was bringing up for editing in the Access database. Once I deleted and recreated the record in the underlying Access database and recreated the record, (with exactly the same data) I could bring up the same task, make changes and submit them without any problem. I don't want to have to delete and recreate records every time I get the forementioned error message, if anyone can give me some ideas on what exactly the error message is referring to it would be great,
Also: I am using JScript for my runtime code.
thanks,
Dominic
