I also did a search and didn't come up with a definitive answer. Hopefully someone can help me here!

Here's the scenario:

I have a Infopath Form that is filled out in relation to a piece of equipment. Each piece of equipment also has an Excel datasheet (they all sit in a document library) that's associated with that piece of equipment. The association is done by the user so it's not coded. My plan was to allow them to select the document from a drop down, once selected it opens. I want to pass the critical information from fields in the Infopath form to specific cells in the Excel sheet that it opens. IE. my:equipmentType gets added to cell C9 in the Excel sheet.

That's the first part. If it was possible to then save the sheet as an attachment to the Infopath report it would be even better. THe user also has to make a couple changes within the Excel sheet before it's saved.

Does anyone have any idea how to do this or where I can read up on how to do it?

Thanks!
