Just add an expression box in another column (for a table) or in the section that uses the position() function... that will give you a row number. You can also use an expression box at the top of the form somewhere that uses the count funtion to return a count of the returned rows -- count(yourrepeatinggroup).

Auto-Number SQL Query Results Infopath 2007

Hello everyone! I've searched the forums, and can't find any advice on my problem.

I have an Infopath 2007 form that queries\submits data to a SQL 2005 database. It works beautifully, but end-users have one request I am trying to fullfill. When they run a query on our vendors (Over 1000) based on certain criteria, they would like a quick way to just see HOW MANY results there are. Currently the form will display the results, but there are is no numbering beside them, so to get an idea of just how many vendors fit the criteria, they hsave to scroll and count manaully. Obviously, this is laborious.

So my question is, can I insert another row in the form that would auto-increment QUERIED data? (Ive seen plenty info on how to submit auto-increment numebrs tot he DB, which I don't want to do)

Any advice would be great!
