Why not just use a database instead? You'd have to write code to programmatically stream your attachments out as files (or maybe there is a way in SP1 to reference them as objects...).

Patrick Halstead [InfoPath MVP]
InfoPathDev

Re: Uniquie Id

Hey it works! I am storing the forms on sharepoint library. I am not a programmer. We have programmers but they are busy. Basic functionality i have determined we need in this form is a unique ID for each form that is made when the user goes to fill out the form.

The transmittals will reference, disk images, zip files, and tif files. The unique id will be used to create a directory where these files will be stored. This we can do manually, and later I hope to hand it over to the programmers to figure out how to automate.

My main question is: How can i make the form build a unique id when the form is run?
