You get errors only when the xpath is wrong or the underlying code is wrong.

Agni
InfoPathDev India

To Decimal, or not to Decimal...

Hey all,

Have another issue regarding data types and SQL server. I am getting validation errors when my XPATH expression is computed. I have a field called Price and a field called Discount, and one more called Total. In SQL they are all the Money data type. When I try and run the form and put in values, I get the errors as said above.

I read the little tid-bit in Introducing Infopath 2003 on page 396 about "Fixing fractional value rounding errors" but i'm not really understanding it. It says "To fix the problem... change the Discount fields datatype to decimal (4,2) or Decimal (5,3) to permit values of 99.99 or 99.999". Where am I able to change this in Infopath? Since this is a database connection, the datatype is set to simpleType and is unchangable. I have also attempted to switch the dataype on the SQL server from Money to Decimal to no avail.

Kinda confused here.
