Sorry for posting the same question a few times, I thought that if i reworded and posted in General it would get a better selection of people looking. I'll keep it to one post per question from now on :)

My idea at the moment is that i've got a massive SP list with lots of data in, and i need people to select some data on the form. the main areas of the form, 1 has only 10 entrys, 1 has 30 (3 each for the first one) and 1 has 600 entrys, split between the 30.

so id like somone to come to the form, pick Section 1, it then populate Section 2 with the entrys relating to Section1, then Section 2 populate Section 3 with the entrys under Section 2 in the list.

is that clear? it confused me when typing :(*

Sorry

Re: Getting values from SharePoint lists

That works except I'm not sure what would go in the other dropdowns. If they are just text fields, then that makes sense, but if they are dropdowns, what would go in them other than one value (question for Irianna)?

You can also use default values with the same method as a rule. One cool thing about IP10 is that default values, action rules, and conditional formatting are all in one place as rules instead of these 3 separate areas where we put them now. Being able to copy and apply the same rule in all 3 areas is awesome.

Re: Getting values from SharePoint lists

Hi Iri,

Please stop posting same thread in multiple areas.

To get this working, you'll want to add a rule to the field and then actions to the rule that set the value. When you choose the value you'll have an option to filter. Good luck!

Getting values from SharePoint lists

Hi, could anyone help me with this? How do I get a field to show information from a sharepoint list, when another field has been selected.

I've got SharePoint list with 3 columns, if each column is a drop down, i would like column 1s selcetion to then populate column 2, then column 2s selection populate column 3.

This is to be a browser based form, so cannot use filters.

Thanks in advance
