How's your data source structured? Are all of the double-check entries in your data source as well? If so, make sure that the double-check fields for the repeater are in the same table. Then you can just check the field at the same row without resorting to Position() and hard-to-figure out xpaths... :)

Referencing a specific entry in a repeating section

So I'm a fairly new infopath user and I'm trying to make a double checking view for a previously designed form. It's supposed to work so that a user enters data, switches views, enters it again and if all the entries are green (i.e. identical to the values they previously entered) then they can submit the form. Overall, not hard; just a little bit of conditional formatting.

The issue arises in a repeating field. Each person has an indeterminate number of contacts that need to be double checked. I can't seem to reference, for example, the "First Name" field in the first repeating section without referencing the next persons first name aswell. The data is in text fields in a repeating section.

The double checking view has a repeating section to facilitate the second entry of the data, but I need to be able to compare the first name, last name etc. in the first section on the first page to only the first section on the second page and the second to the second so on to infinity.

I've tried solutions using position() but I can't get them to show anything other than the first entry.

Thanks in advance.
