Of course I simply use the translate function in the Timar_pr_mann textbox it self so: translate(., ",", ".")

Just did not think that a control could translate itself but that does not seem to be a problem.

Thank you anyway and hope someone else can make good of this newbie question

Translating "," into "."

Hello Infopath team

could you tell me why this does not work?

What I am doing is taking values from Timar_pr_mann a repeating text box that has numbers manually entered into it and summing them up into a function box.

I would like for the users to be able to use either "," or "." as decimal separators and am trying to use the translate function translate(Timar_pr_mann,",",".") in the following formula but am having no luck fitting it in.

DOM()/my:myFields/my:group1/my:verk/my:group6/my:group7/my:Timar_pr_mann[../my:Idnadarmadur = current()/ss:Cell/ss:Data]

Is it possible to fit it in so it translates the , to . inside the sum function as I am trying above?

thank you: steini
