This is most easily done when the form is submitted someplace where the data is accessible -- like a database or sharepoint. Even then, you'd have to use code (or qRules, if you use IP 2007) to copy the repeating data into your new form.

You can do this entirely with code -- the initial form would have the code to open the new form and copy the information into it. For Infopath 2007, you can use the NewFromFormTemplate method for this.

Appending data from one form to another

Firstly, apologies if I am asking this question in the wrong forum category.

I have a problem that I urgently need to address!

I work in Clinical Research and every month we process new studies to take place within the hospital where I work. A Committee convenes monthly to discuss new projects.

I have created an agenda which has 4 repeating tables in it as there are 4 categories of studies we receive. Each study listed in the repeating table has some fields of information.

I have created a minutes view which automatically takes the information from the agenda but adds an extra column for the person to type in the comments on each of the studies.

After the meeting we add all these studies to what we call a "RUNNING LIST" which lists all the studies we process. I basically need to take all the data from the repeating tables in the minutes (with the comments data) and add it to another Infopath form which I have created for the running list.

I am not a programmer or particular advanced with this kind of stuff. How do I get the information from one form to display in another without setting up a database/sharepoint/web service?
