You just need to update the name to make the form URN based and make sure you send it to the external employees as an XSN in e-mail. Once they open it, it will cache it locally and subsequent opens can be done by just clicking on an XML file.

Please take a look at the our best practice blog for this scenario and send me feedback if you can't get it working.

I am having trouble with two InfoPath forms I created.

Form 1: This form is meant for employees in the Insurance department to send information to the Roadside Service department. I published the form onto a shared drive, drive X:, which management in both departments has access to. Once the submit button is clicked, the .xml form gets sent to an outlook mailbox, from where it is opened and the information can be viewed.

Form 2: This form is meant for employees in the roadside service department to send information to the insurance department. This form was also published onto the same shared drive and again, when submitted, this form is sent to a different outlook mailbox.

Issue: If a person that does not have access to the shared drive mentioned above attempts to open the .xml form from the outlook mailbox, they cannot view it. We cannot grant all employees in both departments access to the shared drive; we do however have office-specific shared drives to which all employees of that office have access to, however they do not span throughout the different departments we have.

Is there any way for me to publish both of these forms in any other way so that everyone who views the forms in the Outlook mailboxes can view them?

Thanks,
