External Data Source Filtering Question

Hi,

I have an external data source connection pulling in my company's email addresses. I put a filter in place to parse the drop down list to only show email address that correspond to another field in the form. For example, if I type the first name of a user (field2), I want the drop down (field21) to only show email addresses that start with the letter "L" or "l".

It seems to work but when I select the drop down list, all of the email addresses still populate and not the parsed out list.

Any thoughts would be helpful......
