Once verify the case of the strings. The case of the letters must be same when you compare two strings otherwise it will return false.

Comparing string fields not working as intended...

Good afternoon,

I'm not quite sure I understand string fields in infopath.

What
i'm trying to do is compare different string fields on form open to control who can view data in the forms.

Unfortunately, my string comparisons aren't working...

I
use the Qdabra webservice to grab UserName for each person that inputs
data into the specific form. Once the form is submitted to Sharepoint (finalized), I only want specific people to be able to view the form.

The problem is even if two fields contain the exact same strings. (For example "User.NAME") It will always return false.

Am I going about comparing fields the wrong way? If so, how should I be comparing them?
