If you follow the above steps from 1 to 3, you will get the values of first repeating table RT1F1 values in to the list box.

Re: Populate a List Box in a repeating table with values from a field in another repeating table

Hi Swathi,

Thanks for the reply. However, I think I wasn't clear in what I am wanting to do.

I want all the RT1F1 values to show up in the list box. Lets not worry about the other test box for now. Can you help me populate the list box with all the values of the first field of the first repeating table?

Thanks a lot!

Follow the below steps to achieve your requirement.

1. Go to list box properties.

2. Select ‘Look up values in the form's data source' option in List box entries.

3. Select the first repeating table field (RT1F1) in the Entries box.

4. Add a text box below the list box.

5. Go to that text box properties.

6. Click on fx button beside the default value box. Select the list box field in that and click ok until the windows gets closed.

Populate a List Box in a repeating table with values from a field in another repeating table

Hi,

Infopath 2003 SP3 / SQL Server 2005.

I have 2 repeating tables and the second one can have a relation to one of the fields in the first repeating table.

I need to have a list box (with the capability to select multiple values) in the second table that will get populated with the values of the field in the first table.

Please look at the attached screen shot on what I am trying to achieve.

Thanks in advance!
