Has anyone determined the cause of this issue?

Re: Getting rid of the "Insert item" button in repeating sections.

Thanks, that did get rid of the buttons.

But sadly, the repeating field is still selectable by the user, and includes a copy control. This is a little confusing for the end user, since every time he/she clicks anywhere except one of the control fields, the whole page gets selected. I wonder if there's anything to do against this. I messed around a bit with the xsl file, but no succes.

Re: Getting rid of the "Insert item" button in repeating sections.

Hi,

We can delete that by changing the view.xsl.

1. Open the view.xsl.

2. Search for the outer repeating table xpath. And below that you will find

<div class="optionalPlaceholder" ...

3. Remove this line. Save it.

4. Now open the form.

Getting rid of the "Insert item" button in repeating sections.

Hello fellow InfoPath developers. I've been working with InfoPath for quite a while now, and there's one annoying problem I cannot solve.

My form templates include some nested repeating sections and normal sections. I want none of them to have "Insert item" buttons, since I've made custom ones for that.

But for some reason, the outer most repeating section will always have this button, even though I didn't enable it. The button doesn't work either, and right clicking in the section will just highlight it and show Cut/Paste. Yet this is very annoying, since it will confuse users who click on the section and see the whole page highlighted. I want this Item insert button gone, and preferably make the repeating section unselectable. I know this should be possible, since the inner fields do exactly what I want. It's just the most outer section causing problems.

How do I fix this? This could be a bug, but I'm not sure.

Here's a screenshot of the design: http://jwn.nationvoice.com/1.PNG

It works with cascading drop down boxes and conditional formatting.

And this is how it looks to the user when rightclicking the section: http://jwn.nationvoice.com/2.PNG

And yes, I've ensured that none of the sections have "Allow users to insert and delete" enabled.

Regards,

Ruud
