F%#@ yes! Got it figured out from some code Matt Faus posted about adding a confirmation to a submit button, not sure why I didn't find it before. Anyway, here it is in case anyone else wants to know.

Hi Hilary, thanks for the help. This is the code that I have so far. I know the delete code works, I had it working before I tried to add the confirmation. But I still get a run-time error saying that there is an object expected at line 25. That is the line that's underlined.

The initial sample provided to you was C# for the InfoPath 2003 Object Model.

Here's a sample using JScript. If we follow that example, I'd guess something along these lines would work:

var answer = confirm("Do you really really really want to delete?");

if (answer == true)
{
//delete code goes here
}
else
{
return;
}

I'm also getting an error message saying that Infopath cannot create a new, blank form. The form template is not valid. I assume this has something to do with the assembly?

So what if that file is not on my computer? I have no C:\WINDOWS\assembly folder. I'm on a government computer on a network, would that make a difference?

Yes, you have to use the ‘using' also. To add this, take the reference of the assembly. Microsoft.Office.Interop.InfoPath.SemiTrust which is available at C:\WINDOWS\assembly\GAC\Microsoft.Office.Interop.InfoPath.SemiTrust\11.0.0.0__71e9bce111e9429c\Microsoft.Office.Interop.InfoPath.SemiTrust.dll

Sorry, I'm a bit new at this. Okay, never done it before. The namespace isn't there, but how exactly do I add it? Also, am i supposed to include the "using" that you've got at the front of the code? Cheers for the help!

Once verify the following name space is added or not.

Microsoft.Office.Interop.InfoPath.SemiTrust

If it is not added then add it using the following line.

using Microsoft.Office.Interop.InfoPath.SemiTrust;
