The numbers were different. I made them the same and now get an error :

"The form template is trying to access files and settings on your computer. InfoPath cannot grant access to these files and settings because the form template is not fully trusted. For a form to run with full trust, it must be installed or digitally signed with a certificate."

Trouble is VS crashes when opening the designer so I can't get to the publish menu to republish the form, or to the other menu to set full trust option.

Any idea how to debug why VS crashes when the designer is opened?

Hello,

Did you modify any thing in template.xml file? Are you trying to open new form then that template version should be equal manifest.xsf file.

Check once ‘solutionVersion" value in both template.xml and manifest.xsf files opening in editor mode.

When I try to open my manifest file in the VS 2008 designer, VS crashes. I try to open the xsf file in Infopath directly and I get the above error. I've tried clearing all cached files, but no difference.

If there is no form cached on my PC, what version of what template doesn't match what form? How can I fix this?
