The trusted publisher certificate we have been using expired. A new certificate was generated and we republished all of the templates with the new certificate. When a user opens a new, blank, unsigned form everything works fine.

The problem: forms that were signed by the user and submitted now will not open! We get the following error: "Infopath cannot load this form. Either the signature is corrupted, or the certificate used to sign this form is expired or revoked."

Was the old certificate somehow embedded in the submitted form? By issuing a new certificate did we revoke the old one, which these are referencing?

Any help is much appreciated.
