First, we are not using SharePoint directly. The form is connected to a SQL DB, publised to a shared folder on a network drive and only the link is placed on a company SharePoint webpage. For me, the only way the ADO pop ups can be avoided is when I add the name of the server (//example) as a trusted site in IE.

My IT group pushed the setting down to all users a couple of weeks ago and when they did it seemed fine for a short time. The form worked great and without any of the ADO pop ups that you receive if the server was not added as a trusted site in IE. However, when users began to try to use an application that they previously could without any issues they got some pop ups... Here is the exact wording from my IT resource on this...

"When lasertrak tried to run on startup, the users were prompted as to whether or not the application should launch since it didn't see it as trusted."

I hope that I provided some useful details for you. Please let me know if you need anything else to help.

Yes, but you will need to sign them with a certificate or create a MSI package to deploy them to desktops and save the template.XML to the SharePoint site. In general, you shouldn't have to be Full Trust.

Also, to be having domain level trust, the SharePoint site must be recognized as in the domain. In IE, if the SharePoint site is in the 'Trusted' zone, it will not get domain trust. Domain trust requires that it be in the 'LocalIntranet' zone. If you reference the server as http://foo/, then it should by default be in the local intranet zone. If you reference it by http://foo.com/, it will default to internet zone.

Can you give more details on what type of error they are getting?

Published Forms related question

I wanted to verify something regarding published forms. I have a form that I need everyone in the company to be able to access from all locations. I have published it to a folder on a server and added that server as a trusted site in IE. It works nicely. So, I have asked my IT group to push this IE setting down to all users, but when they did this, they encountered some issues. By adding the trusted site to all users it seemed to cause issues with other trusted sites that the company has which prompted some users with security related pop ups when they tried to use other applications besides the form. As a result of this, IT is trying to figure out another way to accomplish this...besides making this form "Full Trust" or obtaining digital signitures there isn't any other way to accomplish this, right? Basically, I would like to tell IT that we need to work together to make the add to the IE setting work.

Anyone have any information?
