Are you using IP2003 or 2007? I've found that the behavior with current() is not always consistent between the two. Another thing you can try is using a rule instead of a default value. If you are using IP 2007, I think it will generally add current() for you on rules on repeating fields.

Re: Repeating Tables - Duplicating data from first row.

Thanks Hilary...tried that and now the login on 2nd row is correct but then all other rows after that are the same as the 2nd?

Infopath changed your statement to this; @LOGINID[@DISPLAY_NAME = current()/../CustomerName]

not sure if that is an issue.

You probably need to add current() to your default value for login:

@LOGINID[@DISPLAY_NAME = current()/CustomerName]

Repeating Tables - Duplicating data from first row.

Hi all,

Created a Repeating Table with two colums - Colum 1= Customer Name, Colum 2 = Login ID. Customer Name is a drop down listed connected to a sql server database and when a name is selected it puts the login ID in colum2 using a filter. However when using the form and adding more rows even though I select a different Customer Name on say the 2nd or 3rd row the LoginID is always that of the first line. Is there anyway round this?

Default Value for login name is this; @LOGINID[@DISPLAY_NAME = CustomerName]

Thanks all
