When you say "set the values explicitly to the form controls", does that mean I have to do it programmatically? Or is there an easier way to set the repeating section control values to point to the webservice repeating group data? I tried to set each of the repeating section's fields to point to each of the webservice's repeating group data fields, but it only showed the first set of records.

Thanks again for your help.

Re: updating specific fields in repeating section that's using webservices

Hi,

Welcome to the forums. Don’t tie the controls to the webservice. Get the field values from the webservice and set that values explicitly to your form controls when the form is a new form (i.e thisXDocument.IsNew is true). So that the values are updated only for first time and then you can modify/update the values as you want.

Now, I need to update only certain fields in the form and not the all of the fields in the form. I have text fields and repeating section controls on my form.

Since I used a webservice schema in my form, everytime I execute the webservice, it refreshes the entire form. So, I only call the webservice once. But then how do I update the specific fields in the repeating section that I want to update everytime the form is opened.

Do I have to create a separate webservice for the specific fields I want to update and programmatically traverse through the repeating section fields that I want to update? Is there an easier way to do this?

Thanks in advance.
