So basicly I want the button to save and close but when another option is ticked create an email as well ready to be sent to the orginator of the form with predefined data in that can be overwritten by the user.

Thanks in advance.

PS: Just out of interest on the above solution how do you include the body of the email as well?

Re: Creating a blank email message

So the issue is that you want the user to be able to edit the email, rather than it automatically being sent? It appears you do not need to attach the form.

To do this use a hyper link "mailto:" link rather than a submit. You can use concat to embed field values or text into the hyperlink and therefore into the to, subject etc. fields in the email.

Creating a blank email message

Hello I am new joiner and total novice in the use of Infopath, I am using Infopath 2003 SP1. I've created a travel request form on it I am attempting to create an email with the subject and body already entered referecing an email field on the form itself.

At present I've acheived this by creating an email data connection and removing the form but ultimatley I'd like to create an OUTLOOK message which I can overwrite any of the above options, my form has been built using rules and conditions so if codes involved your going have to spell it out for me.

Many thanks in advance.
