Creating the file within visual studio will allow you to integrate with TFS which will take care of your path issues.

InfoPath 2007 Project location + working with source control

I am working with InfoPath 2007. We planned to store infoPath (.xsn) in source control (TFS).

I identifed a folder named "Forms" to store all forms. A subfolder named "code' to store project codes related with infoPath forms.

Inside this 'code' folder, I will create separate sub folders for each form with form name.

Everything works fine upto here.

In my desktop, I am using C: drive for soucre control workspace (TFS). When another developer who also need to work on same form using D: drive.

So each time we need to change the project location. I tried to create a environment variable (named TFS) for source control workspace location . But if I try to give %TFS%\...... in the project location of InfoPath 2007, it gives error as "The project path cannot be found".

Any thought on this...

Thanks,
