The taskpane can give you an actual tree view and information can be passed back to the form but I am not a progrmamer or familiar with their creation.

I have used repeating tables to replicate a tree view fairly well.

Use conditional formatting to hide the plus button when it is selected and the minus button appears. Data rows can be hidden based on the button selected, etc.

So it is possible.

Displaying a treeview in infopath

Hello everybody,

For my project I have to be able to display a treeview on an Infopath 2007 form and be able to select an entry in the tree that has to be saved along with the other fields . I've checked out the previous posts and two things came up as possible solutions. A Repeating Recursive Section and a custom task pane. I tried the repeating section and it works, but it doesn't really react and look like a treeview (expand/collapse). The other option was the task pane which is a HTML page displaying the treeview. But how is this done, does this have to be an ActiveX or a .NET usercontrol, or some other way ? Are there besides those 2 options other possibilities ?

Thanks a lot in advance,

Philippe
