Is there a way to have the attached xml file automatically open in the body of the email thus eliminating the need to double click on open the file once the email is opened? If I can make that happen, it might make my process more seamless.

You can certainly include a hyperlink in the subject or intro.

One option is to make your form smarter.

I am assuming you are tracking form state in a field for your workflow.

In your submit, set state to email, fire the email submit. Set state to pending or whatever submit to sharepoint or the saved copy.

Then add a rule on open where if state is = email switch to a special view instructing the user to use the hyperlink in the email or put the hyperlink for them in the attached form view.

Just a question about submitting a form via email.....

Products: InfoPath 2003, Sharepoint 2003, Outlook 2003.

My form currently submits to a sharepoint library and simultaneously routes the xml via email to various recipients.

Is there a way to automatically include the xml url link as the attachment instead of actually attaching the file? My user roles and workflow act off of opening the form and performing approve and reject functions. It would be nice to eliminate the actual file and insert the file url that resides on the sharepoint site.

Thanks
Lou
