So I created all of my columns in sharepoint first, and am attempting to map my fields to the existing columns, but everyone once in a while I still have issues.

Anyone else with insight to this?

Re: Updating Site Content Type Failed.

I have a similar issue, i can publish and modify a conteny type provided that the number of promoted fields is relatively low, at some point, which i have not yet identified, when adding in more promoted fileds the template will not republish.

Our current thinking is that this is a paging issue with the sharepoint failing to accept the new template when the number of promoted fields hits a certain level. More annoying is that if you repeatedly try to publish the modified template you can often end up with multiple versions of columns from failed attempts to publish the new template. This can be very untidy and difficult to work with.

I have a strange behaviour in Infopath

I have created a form with few data connections and it submits to sharepoint. This form needs to be published to a MOSS 07 document library and used as content type.

the issues that i am able to create a new content type when i go to publish the form, but after publishing it if i have to make any changes and update the content type it always give me "Updating Site Content Type Failed" I have tried almost everything, loggon on the server and tried to publish, did as administrator, on a different site, removed data connections etc etc unsuccessfully.

Just hoping if any one can shed any light on this please.
