It should be possible to configure a simple infopath form, with no data connections, just text and radio button inputs, to submit to a perl cgi on a webserver, right? I tried publishing the forms to a shared samba drive on the webserver with the cgi's, and occaisionally, the system still refuses to submit with that cryptic error. Furthermore, the webserver access log does not show an attempt to connect when this error occurs. Infopath is stopping it dead. The error doesn't return any hits in MSDN and I don't really understand what it means. Has anyone done anything similar and gotten it to work? This is really killing me. Thanks again ~BJ

Re: Domain Error Submitting a form to a webserver

Random in the sense that a person can enter forms for 10 minutes, an hour, etc and then it will stop working. The other day it worked for 3 hours, yesterday it broke after 10 minutes and then nothing worked until this morning with no changes taking place in the interim. Its very odd. Thank you for the links, I will pour over them this weekend.

Re: Domain Error Submitting a form to a webserver

Random does it mean that the same person gets it or different persons ...

I read today a nice chapter in the book "Designing Forms for Microsoft Office InfoPath and Forms Services 2007"

some links to start with

We have forms created that submit to a local webserver that processes the form xml into our databases. Now for some reason occaionally we get the error

"The hyperlink address where the form was supposed to be submitted is accessing another domain."

The forms are kept on a network drive and the web server is a different machine, since we do not have control over the file server. Is there any way to stop this seemingly randomly occuring error? I have added the web server to the trusted sites and allowed cross site data access, but it has not helped. Any help would be really appreciated.
