I had got the dates working correctly but now it is not letting me into the form.

Whenever I try and create a new form from my sharepoint doc library it comes up with the following error message:-

The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.

I have deleted all unwanted data connections etc but am still getting this error.

Any idea why I would be getting this?

Thanks for your help with this.

Re: Displaying Week commencing date

This looks correct...

I am not sure about them being choice columns.

What exactly are the three columns?

WeekNum Start End

Week1 3/31 4/6

Week2 4/7 4/13

Then your filter looks correct you would have a default on Week Start in your form which was the Start <= today and end >= today.

I would verify your list in InfoPath that you are getting the data you anticipate then work on your filter logic.

I decided to go with the easy way and create a list of mondays called week commencing date. I then created a field called start date which displayed the Monday's dates aswell. I also created an end date which showed the date on Sunday of each week.

These 3 fields were created as choice columns.

I then created calulcated fields for all 3 of these and set it as type date and these calculated columns then pointed to the 3 fields mentioned above.

However, when I try to filter down using these calulated fields, it just doesn't show anything in my view.

I am filtering by using:

start date <= [Today] AND end date >= [Today]

What do I need to put in the formula of the calculated fields?

Re: Displaying Week commencing date

There are a variety of methods.

Low tech would be create a list of Mondays. Then use a filter to display the first one less than today or whatever your target date was.

A more elegant solution would be to you some VBscript or code. I am pretty sure there is a date function to get day of week, so with that you could calculate Mondays.

Displaying Week commencing date

Hi

I am new to Infopath but wanted to display Mondays date at the top of the page.

So for today I would want to display the Mondays date which has just passed. Next week I want it to display next Monday's date throughout the whole week and so on.

So I just basically want to create a week commencing date.

Is this possible in Infopath?
