An Active Directory Web Service can give you a codeless method to both ID the form user and also access their's or other's information from Active Directory such as email address, department, manager, etc. This will also return the domain account in remote user scenarios.

Otherwsie you can write code or get username from SharePoint 2007

Fetching the username on an InfoPath email form.

I'm designing a InfoPath form template to be published to a list of email recepients.

I want to fetch the username / email address of the user filling the form in the Outlook.

I tried using the usernaem() function but that doen't populate the user name of the Outlook user filling the form.

Any idea on how to achieve this?

Thanks in advance
