To get filters to automatically apply, remove useFilter and refreshFilter attributes from manifest.xsf file. This might cause other issues when inserting rows unless you make sure that the filter criteria is available on the new row.

Refreshing Filters

Hi guys,

* I have an infopath control hosted in a .Net form

* I have three repeating sections that point to the same repeating XML section.

* One section is modifiable in the UI, the other two are read only.

* All three sections are filtered to look for different things.

* Some items are added via infopath UI

* Some items are are added from the host code, and inserted directly into the DOM.

All items add fine, but i am experiencing some problems with the filters. When i add an item from code, the filters work as expected and items appear in the appropriate repeating section. If i add using the InsertItem on the writable repeating section, the new empty item appears in both the other controls as well, until i select "Refresh Filter" on the writable section.

What i am looking for is a way to call this refresh filter function from java script.

Cheers

Tristan Rhodes
